About
NCTF
New Century Transportation Foundation is a
501(c)3 organization created to advance resource-efficient
mobility choices in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. We're creating
partnerships with citizens, the private sector, and other organizations to
create a better transportation future, for economic prosperity and a
healthy environment.
NCTF is
working to leverage the additional resources, both human and financial, needed
to implement the Roaring Fork Region's adopted transit plan, complete the
Rio Grande Trail between Glenwood Springs and Aspen, and create a highest
quality, sustainable transportation system in the Roaring Fork/Colorado
Valleys and beyond.
NCTF
focuses on several interconnected program areas to decrease dependence on foreign oil, create more climate friendly
transportation options and
improve the overall quality of our transportation system. They include:
-
High Quality Regional Transit
-
Bike-walk friendly
communities
-
Regional Trail System
-
Safe Routes to School
-

Our Approach:
Creating a more resource efficient, higher
quality transportation system can only happen with the active involvement
of aware citizens and the private sector in addition to an innovative
public sector. NCTF provides ongoing information and educational
events and materials to increase awareness of transportation options and
how they can be implemented, working to forge public-private partnerships,
and leveraging resources required to spur innovation.
